HOW HAPPINESS THINKS

Unlocking Jewish Wisdom for a Joyful Life

JLI’s new course, How Happiness Thinks, is much more than a tool to boost your happiness. It is an exciting journey into your own mind and psyche. Drawing on classical Jewish and mystical teachings, this course will present you with a deeper understanding of yourself and help you flourish by suggesting practical advice which, when implemented, will radically enhance the happiness quotient of your life.

You’ll also learn how the science of positive psychology is now corroborating what Judaism has always known about what makes us happy.

LESSON ONE

Finding Happiness in Life’s Gifts

What matters most is how we appreciate our life circumstances and how regularly we express that appreciation.

LESSON TWO

Staying Honest, Humble, and Happy

Staying positive about life means staying positive about ourselves.

LESSON THREE

What Am I Here For?

Living a holistic life inspired by the Torah means having a relationship with G‑d in which our individual selves find expression.

LESSON FOUR

Overcoming Stress through Positivity

We learn how to cultivate optimism and trust from the inspiring example of King David. The benefits are borne out by contemporary research.

LESSON FIVE

Perfectly Happy Being Imperfect

How can I ever be at peace if I’ve made serious mistakes in my life or if I’m upset about my character shortcomings?

LESSON SIX

Discovering a Deeper Happiness

This lesson introduces a more transcendent form of joy that is available to each of us. Although more difficult to achieve, it is crucial to our happiness, because it allows for true self-actualization.
