The Torah is our most precious possession, guarding and sustaining the Jewish people throughout history. The words we read in the torah today are exactly those dictated by Gā€‘d, recorded by Moses and meticulously transcribed for generations.

Of the 613 mitzvot in the torah, the last one is to write a torah scroll.

It is an honour and great mitzvah to participate in the writing of a Torah. By endowing a letter, word, or verse etc for yourself, your children, your family, or honouring someone special to you, it is as if you have written your own Torah scroll.

The Lethbridge Torah has been generously gifted to Chabad Richmond from the Lethbridge Jewish Community. It is an honour for Chabad Richmond to be entrusted with the newly dedicated Lethbridge Torah. May we hold it high for many generations to come.
